• Fixed an issue that was preventing the Project Agent and Status Report Agent from being refreshed.

Resource Management

• Fixed an issue that was preventing some resources from displaying when adding resources to projects in the new Projects tab of Resource Center. You can now view up to 200 results when searching for a specific resource if that many matches exist.

Project Management

• Fixed an issue in the Project side panel where the Go to Project link was not fully visible for projects with long names.
• Fixed an issue with Pulse surveys where the response to the first question was saved when recipients selected an option in the Pulse email instead of after selecting the Continue button on the survey page. For recipients whose email providers use security bots, this was causing incorrect responses to be saved or responses to be saved without the recipients actually taking the survey.
• Fixed an issue with Pulse surveys where after returning to a previous question and selecting a different answer, the scale would display both answers as selected.

Financial Management

• The hover tooltip that appears on the Project Revenue chart now includes the month and year of the financial period and the information that appears now display in the following order: Budget, Recognized, Calculated, Forecast.

Miscellaneous

• To more easily surface visibility in your organization for support cases with Kantata, you can now add people as case collaborators, which ensures that they receive updates about the support case.
• You can now post updates to your support case in the support portal instead of replying via email.

Resource Management

• The Allocate Member modal has been renamed Staff Unnamed Resource. This action is also now available in the new Resource Center tabs as an action in the More menu for unnamed resources.

Financial Management

• Fixed an issue in the Account Revenue and Project Revenue charts that was causing months to either disappear or duplicate when viewed by users in certain timezones. This data is now based on UTC, which displays properly for all timezones.
• Fixed an issue in the project and account Revenue tabs that was preventing forecast and revenue amounts from displaying properly when using Expense Budgets, especially when expense budgets were fixed fee or included markup.
• Fixed an issue where values were always displaying with the USD currency symbol in the Override Revenue modal in the project's Revenue tab under the Financials tab.

• Fixed a visual issue in the Resource Estimated Hours column in Task Tracker where the profile picture for unnamed resources was not displaying properly, making it harder to see the initials for the role and determine the difference between unnamed resources.

Integrations

• External reference related filters are now available when fetching expense budgets via the API.
• Fixed an issue with importing expense budgets via the Smart Upload Manager where the expense budgets were not actually being created if the external_id column had a value.
• Fixed an issue with the Smart Upload Manager where creating a new expense budget would update a previously-imported expense budget instead.

• When an unapproved timesheet has days that span both the previous and current financial period, the timesheet will now only appear under unapproved time for the period you are viewing if there are time entries logged for days in that financial period.

API

• The Subscribed Events API now tracks changes to the following revenue management related fields for Project Accounting Records: forecast, has_revenue_override, calculated_revenue_amount, and revenue_override_notes.

• Fixed an issue in the project's Activity Feed that was preventing team members with View Tasks Project Permissions from seeing public posts.

Integrations

• A patch is available for Salesforce Version 2.11 to fix an issue where the Kantata OX project was not being archived and the Salesforce project was not being deleted when the Salesforce Opportunity or Opportunity Line Item (OLI) was deleted and the Enable Auto Project Delete option was activated. To receive the patch, please contact Support.
• The QuickBooks integration now supports the ability to sync the Kantata OX invoice date to the QuickBooks Service Date field for invoice line items. Use the new Sync Kantata OX invoice date as QuickBooks invoice service date? option in the Map Account Settings tab on the Intuit Settings page.
• The Expenses data set in the Smart Upload Manager has been updated to support associating expense budgets to expenses.

Miscellaneous

• Fixed a visual issue on the Your Dashboard page that caused information in the People section to display improperly if the logged-in user had a long name. The name listed under Profile is now truncated if it does not fit within the Profile area.
• Fixed an issue on the Your Dashboard page that was preventing the Expand/Collapse icon for the People section from working properly.

November 10-14 Additional Enhancements  

Resource Management

• The legend in the new Resource Center tabs has been updated to reflect the new look and feel of the allocated and scheduled hours bars. The legend in the Team Members tab also includes visuals for time off and holidays that appear in the timeline for this tab.

Project Management

• The Recurring Date / Task Completion label and options in Pulse areas have been updated to During Project.
• Fixed an issue with Task Tracker that was causing horizontal scroll to not work.
• Fixed an issue with the Project List that was causing pagination options to not display.

Financial Management

• On the Project Revenue chart, forecasted, calculated, and recognized revenue amounts within a period all now appear together when hovering over a data point. Previously, these only appeared individually when hovering over that specific data point.
• In the Project Revenue panel, a new Calc. Revenue field appears for all current and past financial periods that shows you the revenue amount based on the calculated data in Kantata OX, helping you to identify if this is different that the Revenue amount due to an override or data changing after the project revenue is submitted for approval.
• A warning icon now appears next to Revenue field in the Project Revenue panel if the values in the Revenue and Calc. Revenue fields are not equal.
• Text in all currency fields—such as Revenue and Revenue to Date fields—in Account Financials and Project Revenue tables are now consistently aligned to the right side of the column.

Reporting

• Updated user availability data in Insights to consider allocated hours. Previously, Insights only considered the account creation date, the oldest scheduled hours, or the oldest time entries when calculating user availability, which could result in inaccuracy when reporting on user availability.

Integrations

• The Project Financial Periods data set is now available in the Smart Upload Manager.

November 3-7 Additional Enhancements  

Resource Management

• Fixed an issue where clicking Resource Center links from places like Resource Request emails or Availability Inspector pop-ups would not automatically filter to the specific resource.
• Project names in the new Projects tab of Resource Center are now hyperlinked, allowing you to easily access the project workspace by clicking the project name.

Project Management

• Number custom fields in Forms now allow values to be up to 15 digits—like in the Project side panel. Previously, only up to 10 digits were allowed.

Financial Management

• Fixed an issue on the Account Financials page that was sometimes preventing the Revenue by Project table from loading properly.
• Fixed an issue in the Project Revenue side panel where the Approve all expense reports option in the Submission Checklist automatically displayed an unchecked icon when expense approvals were not activated for a project. Now, this checkbox can be manually checked if expense approvals are not required.
• Fixed an issue that was preventing revenue from projects from being recognized when the project was not submitted for approval prior to the period being closed.

Integrations

• A patch is available for Salesforce Version 2.11 to fix the issues listed below. To receive the patch, please contact Support.
  • Templates were not being applied (as configured in the Opportunity Template Field or Product Template Field Name integration options) to new Kantata projects created from a Salesforce Opportunity or Opportunity Line Item (OLI) when the staging table is activated.
  • The Kantata project lead’s email address was not syncing to the Project Manager field in Salesforce.

Miscellaneous

• You can now double-click on longer posts that are collapsed in the Dashboard's Activity Feed to expand the content and read it. Double-clicking the post content after it is expanded will collapse the content again.
• For a more consistent experience across Kantata OX, some font formatting has been updated. These changes include size and bolding of in-app text.

• Improved the Resourcing Agent’s responses to prompts that refer to custom fields.
• The Resourcing Agent can now create and update custom field values.

• Fixed an issue that was preventing in-app links to Resource Center from working properly.

Project Management

• When you select a response in a Pulse survey the Skip button changes to a Continue button, allowing you to advance to the next question and saving the selected response.
• When selecting a Pulse survey response in an email, a browser window now opens in a new tab where you can click Continue to save your response before choosing to continue completing the survey.

• Fixed an issue that was allowing the Send One Time survey type to appear in the Create Question Sets modal.

Financial Management

• In the project's Revenue tab, only financial periods with financial data like hours or expenses will display on the chart and table. If no periods have financial data, only the month that the project was created is visible in the chart and table.
• Fixed an issue for the Fees per Month tab in the project workspace that prevented projects with a large amount of data from properly loading the chart and table.

Reporting

• Fixed a background color styling issue in the Notes column for the Analytics Time Tracking report.

Integrations

• Fixed an issue with the Projects: Invite Users to New Projects Kantata Connect recipe that caused the recipe to trigger for updated projects instead of only newly created projects. To receive the fix on your Kantata Connect account, you must re-import the recipe.

• Changes made to project accounting will now appear in Recent History and Project History. You can see when project accounting records are created and deleted. The changes will also appear in the Subscribed Events API as the following events:

• A patch is available for Salesforce Version 2.11 to fix an issue where syncing the project budget from an alternate field (e.g. with the Alternate Opp Project Budget Field option) was not working when the Salesforce org has multiple currencies enabled. • Fixed an issue with the Users: Match Cost Rate to Account Role Kantata Connect recipe where the user cost rate was not updated when the user did not already have a cost rate for the specified currency. To receive the fix on your Kantata Connect account, you must re-import the recipe.
• Fixed an issue with the Tasks: Copy Task Tag to Custom Field Kantata Connect recipe that caused tags without the specified prefix to be renamed when the task had a mix of tags with and without the prefix. To receive the fix on your Kantata Connect account, you must re-import the recipe.

• When duplicating a resource in the early access Resource Center pages, the new resources now appear on the page without requiring a page refresh.
• When shifting allocations in the early access Projects tab in Resource Center, the timeline will now update without requiring a page refresh.

Project Management

• You can now select the Time & Expense Tracking bulk action in Task Tracker even if you have selected tasks which are not allowed to have time tracked against them. Previously, the bulk option would be deactivated.
• In Global Boards, the task status filter is now based on specific statuses instead of task status types. Previously, for example, when you selected only Not Started, tasks with both Not Started and custom statuses with that status type would appear in the results.
• For better clarity and a more consistent user experience, the following options in the Project Settings and Create a New Project pages have been changed from toggles to checkboxes: Include archived tasks in percentage complete, Include non-billable time on invoices, Schedule and budget changes must be approved, Allow tracking time, Require notes on time entries, Time entries must be approved before invoicing, and Expenses must be approved before invoicing.

• The Project Accounting Records data set is now available in the Smart Upload Manager.

• To improve performance of the Time Entries page, users with Report Viewer (or higher) Account Permissions can now see an Include External Projects checkbox. Because this checkbox is not selected by default, any time that account members have tracked to external projects will be filtered out automatically, which allows the page to load time much faster.
• When time tracking is not allowed on a project and a task is marked as Time Trackable, a message now appears in the Task side panel to explain that time can't be tracked until the project setting is updated.
• Account members who can edit tasks but can't change time tracking settings are now able to change the task type of all tasks, regardless of time trackable settings.

Miscellaneous

• Improved the styling and resizing behavior for various configurable tables—tables that leverage the Configure Columns functionality—in Kantata OX, including, but not limited to, Dashboard Access, the early access Team Members tab in Resource Center, and Project History.

January 13-17 Additional Enhancements  

Resource Management

• In the early access Team Members tab, added two new columns: Resource ID and Previous Resource ID.
• Fixed an issue that was preventing some users from editing and deleting allocations in the project's Resourcing tab.

Project Management

• Improved performance of Task History in the Task side panel.
• Fixed an issue with templates where resource skills, additional tabs, and expense budgets were not copied when the template was cloned.
• When filling out a form in the project workspace, the form only saves when all fields have valid values. Previously, the fields with valid information would save, but an error message would appear suggesting that all fields failed to update.
• Fixed an issue where options wouldn't appear in the Task Status Set drop-down in the Project List.

Time and Expense

• Fixed an issue in the Expense Budgets tab in a project where the page would go blank if you clicked the Add Expense Budget button before the table finished loading.
• Improved the readability of the tooltip for the Add Time button in the Time & Fees section of the Task side panel.
• Added scroll to the New Expense Budget modal to improve usability.

Account Settings

• The People widget in the dashboard can now be hidden via a new setting on the General Settings page.

January 6-10 Additional Enhancements  

Resource Management

• The Availability By Date filter in Resource Center now gives you the option to enter availability based on allocation percentage. Previously, you could only enter a set number of allocated hours.

Project Management

• Fixed an issue in the Task Tracker where filtering by a default task status would also display custom task statuses of the same type.
• The settings icon in the Pulse tab in the workspace now opens a drop-down with options for Client Pulse Settings and Team Pulse Settings or—if one side is deactivated on the account—opens the project Pulse settings page directly.
• The Overall Pulse Score, Overall Team Score, and Overall Client Score columns in the Pulse Dashboard have been renamed to Pulse Score, Team Score, and Client Score.
• Fixed an issue where recurring date Pulse surveys were being sent when they were deactivated in the project and project start surveys were activated.

Time and Expense

• Fixed an issue where after deleting a task, the task was not removed from expense budgets.

Reporting

• Improved performance when cloning large dynamic dashboards in Insights.
• Fixed an issue with Insights where the markups on expenses logged to expense budgets were not included in the Invoice: Amount in Cents fact and Invoice Amount standard metric.

Account Settings

• The Save button on the Time & Expense Settings page is now in a fixed position in the top-right corner of the top bar.

Integrations

• The Slack integration library has been updated to be more compatible with infrastructure upgrades in M-Bridge.

Miscellaneous

• The Track Time Reminder - Direct Reports email notification now include minutes in the total workweek hours. Previously, these hours were rounded to the nearest hour.
