How to Import from the Recipe Catalog
- Log into Kantata Connect.
-
In the top bar menu, select Catalog.
- On the Catalog page, locate the recipe you would like to import.
-
For the recipe, select the Download
icon. -
In the confirmation modal that opens, select Import.
A confirmation message will appear if the import is successful.
To view the recipe, select Home in the top bar menu. Then in the Projects section on the left-hand section of the page, select the Catalog Imports project.
Once imported, you can modify the recipe to make changes for your specific use case. Common customizations include making a recipe trigger for only certain data (typically in step 1 of the recipe) or customizing the content of email notifications.
How to Manage Project Properties After Importing a Recipe
After importing a recipe from the catalog, you must configure the recipe’s project properties for the recipe to work correctly for your specific account and use case. Project properties contain configurations such as email addresses to send notifications to or custom field IDs. Refer to the recipe’s individual article for which project properties to update for that recipe.
- Log into Kantata Connect.
-
In the Projects section on the left-hand section of
the
home page, select the Catalog Imports project.
Note: If you moved a recipe to a different project, select that project instead. -
Select the Settings tab.
-
Select the Project Properties subtab.
-
Select the Edit
icon for the property you would like to
update. -
Enter the Value.
Note: If you only imported the recipe one time to your account, do not edit the Property name—this will break the recipe.
If you imported the recipe multiple times in order to have multiple copies that do slightly different things, you can add a new project property for each copy of the recipe and give it a unique name. You will then need to edit each recipe itself and replace the original project property with the copy’s specific project property. -
Select the Save
icon.
Once a recipe has been imported from the catalog, a Catalog Imports project is created in your account, if one doesn’t exist already. Lookup tables are also added to your account, if the recipe uses any.
You can move an imported recipe from the Catalog Imports project to a different project; however, you will need to add the recipe’s project properties in the new project’s Settings tab.
You can rename imported recipes. You can also make modifications to imported recipes, such as adding filters to the trigger or customizing email notification content.
How to Import and Make Modifications to Multiple Copies of a Recipe
You can import a recipe multiple times if you would like to have multiple copies of a recipe that do slightly different things. For example, copy 1 of a recipe invites users A and B when a new project in the Estimate stage is created, while copy 2 of a recipe invites users C and D when a new project in the Project stage is created.

icon.

). -
Select the Save

-
In the Recipe Editor, select the step that uses
a project property.
Tip: The step(s) will be marked with a warning icon, since the original project property was renamed. -
