Overview
A Connection is an established link between Kantata Connect and another application, and it is the first step in building and enabling recipes. When a connection is created, Kantata Connect uses the app’s authorization or authentication API to link the application to your account.
Kantata Connect offers several options when it comes to creating connections between your applications. For example, you can create various connections for the same application.
Note: All added connections can be viewed and edited by everyone in your Kantata Connect account.

How to Create a Connection
- Log in to Kantata Connect.
- In the Assets section on the left-hand section of the home page, select Connections.
- In the new section that appears, click the Create button in the top-right corner of the page and then select Connection.
- On the New connection page, search for and select the application you want to create the connection for.
- On the Connect to [APPLICATION] page, enter a Connection name.
Note: It’s recommended to make the connection name as detailed as possible and include the user this connection is for (e.g. BambooHR - Integrations User).
- Select a Location—or project—that the connection will be located in.
Note: To create a new project, scroll down to the bottom of the Location drop-down and click + New project.
- Enter the required fields remaining for this connection, which will vary depending on which application you are connecting to.
Note: Supplemental information and/or instructions can be found below each required field. If you need any assistance, please contact the Kantata Support team.
- Click Connect. The connection is created and is now accessible in the Connections section on the Homepage.
Note: If the connection does not automatically save, additional steps may be required to complete this process depending on the selected application (e.g. signing in to your account).
