This recipe copies task tags with a specified prefix to task custom fields—which you specify—whenever a task with tags is created or updated. This recipe is especially useful if you are using task tags in project templates as a workaround to task custom fields not being available in project templates.

Overview
This recipe copies task tags with a specified prefix to task custom fields—which you specify—whenever a task with tags is created or updated. This recipe is especially useful if you are using task tags in project templates as a workaround to task custom fields not being available in project templates. This recipe will automatically convert the task tags into task custom fields when the template is applied, eliminating the need to manually copy tags to custom fields.
After Importing the Recipe

In the Projects section on the left-hand section of
the
home page, select the Catalog Imports project.
Note: If you moved a recipe to a different project, select that project instead.
- Select Settings.
- Select Project Properties.

Select the Edit
catalog_tag_to_copy_prefix
project property.

For the Value, enter the prefix which indicates a tag
to copy to a task custom field.
Note: The prefix is case sensitive. The prefix will be stripped from the task tag when it is saved as in the task custom field.
- Select the Save icon.

Select the Edit
catalog_tag_custom_field_id
project property.
icon for the - For the Value, enter the ID of the task custom field to save tags in.
- Select the Save icon.
Once you finish configuring the project properties, you can select Start recipe from the Assets list or Recipe Details page to allow the recipe to activate when a trigger event occurs.
