Overview
The Project Status Report Assistant helps keep your communications with internal and external stakeholders effective and consistent—building client confidence and ensuring successful projects. The Project Status Report Assistant sifts through project data, activity, and files to help you write status reports, letting you skip the tedious work and saving you time.

Note: Kantata AI must be activated on the account and you must be a Project Administrator with the Access Group permission to use the Project Status Report Assistant.
How to Generate a Status Report
- In a project, open the Activity tab.
- Select the Generate Status button below the Create new post box.
The Generate Status Report modal opens. - The modal shows when the Project Status Report Assistant was last updated. If desired, select Train Assistant to refresh the Project Status Report Assistant’s data.
- Select each section you want to include in the status report:
- Executive Summary—A high-level summary of the status report.
- Completed Tasks—A list of tasks that have been completed.
- Tasks in Progress—A list of tasks that are in progress.
- Key Milestones Achieved—A list of milestones that have been completed.
- Risks and Mitigations—Risks and mitigations identified from project activity and meetings.

RAG Indicators—The health of the project scope, budget, schedule, and client status, with RAG (red, amber, green) indicators.
- Select Generate Report. It may take a few moments to complete. Keep the modal open while the status report is generating, otherwise you will have to start over.
- If desired, select one of the options at the top:
- Copy to clipboard —Copy the entire status report in one click. This is useful if you want to share the status report externally, such as in an email or messaging app.

Good response
- Bad response —Send feedback about a poor response. A modal opens with an option to include comments in your feedback.
- Train and regenerate —If the status report seems outdated, the Project Status Report Assistant may not have the latest project data. Select this option to refresh its data and create a new status report.
- Select Start Activity Post at the bottom of the modal to share the status report in the project’s Activity Feed.
The status report will be copied to the Create new post box, where you can edit the report and set the post’s visibility before posting.
What Data Can the Project Status Report Assistant Access?
The Project Status Report Assistant can access the following information:
- Task data
- Activity Feed posts and activity
- Project health reports
- Files uploaded to the project
