Highlights
Early Access
Resource Management / Resource Center
Released on February 18, 2025
In the early access Team Members tab, more details appear for time off and holidays in the Day and Week views, surfacing more information and allowing you to quickly make informed resource planning decisions.
Previously, a yellow line in the user row was the only indication of a holiday or scheduled time off. Now, you can also see the following details when you expand the user row:
- A Holiday or Time Off icon that indicates why they’ll be out of office
- The name of the holiday
- The amount of time off scheduled
For more information, see the Configure Columns in Resource Center [Early Access] article.
February 10-14 Additional Enhancements
Project Management
- Fixed an issue where the custom branding logo was sometimes not appearing on Pulse survey pages.
API
- When creating or updating a task via the API, an Account Administrator can explicitly set the
time_trackable
field and override the default time tracking setting for new tasks.
Miscellaneous
- Our Kantata logo has a refreshed look and feel that we've begun rolling out to various places—starting with kantata.com and Kantata Connect.
February 3-7 Additional Enhancements
Resource Management
- Fixed an issue with Resource Requests where the Approver would sometimes be removed if you updated other information before submitting the request.
Project Management
- When you export information from the Project List, you can now see whether time tracking is activated or deactivated for a project.
- The column Track Time & Expenses has been added to Task Tracker. This column is also included in Task Tracker CSV exports.
- With a new bulk action, anyone with the proper permission can now bulk update whether tasks can have time and expenses tracked against them. For more information on who has access to this bulk action, see Task Tracker Bulk Actions.
- When Time Tracking Enhancements for Project Participants is activated on the Early Access page and time and expense account settings allow Project Administrators to manage time tracking settings, a new Additional Access permission is available to select on the Project Permissions page.
- Account members without permission to change time tracking settings can now delete tasks marked as Time Trackable as long time, expenses, and invoices are not associated to the task.
Time and Expense
- The new feature Time Tracking Enhancements for Project Participants is now available on the Early Access page. This feature allows Account Administrators to control if Project Administrators and designated project members can update whether or not time tracking is allowed for projects and tasks.
- To improve performance of the Time Entries page, users with Report Viewer (or higher) Account Permissions can now see an Include External Projects checkbox. Because this checkbox is not selected by default, any time that account members have tracked to external projects will be filtered out automatically, which allows the page to load time much faster.
- When time tracking is not allowed on a project and a task is marked as Time Trackable, a message now appears in the Task side panel to explain that time can't be tracked until the project setting is updated.
- Account members who can edit tasks but can't change time tracking settings are now able to change the task type of all tasks, regardless of time trackable settings.
Account Settings
- The Task data set in Data Exporter now includes a Track Time & Expenses field.
- The Project data set in Data Exporter now includes a Time Tracking field.
- On the Time & Expense Settings page, the Track Time Against section is now the second section on the page—placed conveniently closer to other time tracking settings.
API
- Changes made to the Allow tracking time project setting will now appear in Recent History and Project History. The change will also appear in the Subscribed Events API as a
workspace:updated
event.
Miscellaneous
- Fixed an issue where the People widget on the Your Dashboard page was not appearing for some users.
