Overview
Available out-of-the-box as a standard reporting dashboard, this dynamic dashboard gives visibility into how time is being spent, letting you easily see which activities people are spending the most time on and how productive your company is with its time. Time is broken down at various levels of granularity—by activity type, by billable vs. non-billable, by project, and by user.
This dashboard is intended for resource managers, managers, and directors.
The following sections appear in this dashboard:
- Time Summary
- Hours Breakdown by User
Time Summary
The Time Summary section shows a breakdown of actual hours for all users that fit the filtered criteria.
In the Hours Breakdown by Week chart, you can see the percentage of hours that are remaining for a workweek, have been entered as time off, are holiday hours, are non-billable (categorized as administrative or internal tasks), are non-billable (categorized as productive tasks), and are billable. You can select a week to see a more detailed daily breakdown of these percentages.
The Time: Billable vs. Non-Billable Hours chart shows the number of hours that are billable, non-billable (categorized as administrative or internal tasks), or non-billable (categorized as productive). You can select one of these categories on the chart to see a breakdown of the projects, roles, and users these hours belong to.
The Time: By Project & Top Level Task treemap shows you where time is being spent, both at the project level and the parent task level. Each project is represented by a different color and the project’s tasks are split into separate boxes—with the larger, darker-shaded boxes representing more hours and the smaller, lighter-shaded boxes representing less hours.
You can select a box in the chart, then select Time: By Project & Top Level Task [Drill In] to see more detailed information about the individual tasks. To open the project workspace in a new tab, select More details after selecting a box in the chart.
Hours Breakdown by User
The Hours Breakdown by User section includes information on each user’s actual hours broken down into their different roles and the projects they are participating in.
