Project Permission: Project Administrator
Overview
Adding dynamic dashboards to the project workspace can be beneficial in many ways—from helping the team stay aligned to surfacing important information to executive leadership like how well a project is meeting specific metrics or how much time is being spent on that project.
Only a Project Administrator can add a dashboard to the project workspace and they are only able to add dynamic dashboards that have been shared with them. These dynamic dashboard tabs are visible only to those who have the proper Insights access.
Dashboards can be added to a project template or in the Additional Tabs section on the Create a New Project page during the project creation process.
You also have the option to add a dashboard to a project after it’s been created via the Project Settings page. This can be done as often as needed, but please note that it may take up to 30 minutes for the dashboard to initially appear in the project workspace once it’s been added.
To learn how to add a dashboard to an existing project, see the How to Add a Dashboard to the Project Workspace section in this article.
Based on your Access Group permissions, you may see the following items within the workspace tab that appear at the top of dynamic dashboards within Insights:
- Data Refresh status
- Data Access level
- Help articles menu
- Advanced drop-down menu
- Filters
Note: If
Project: Name
orProject: ID
attributes are added as dashboard filters, all data in the dashboard will automatically be filtered to the project and these filters will not be visible in the project workspace. For information on adding filters to dynamic dashboards, see Using the Dynamic Dashboard Editor.
For more information on these features, see Insights Dynamic Dashboard Overview.
