Overview
Available out-of-the-box as a standard reporting dashboard, this dynamic dashboard uses fees (billable hours * bill rate) as a representation of revenue to provide insight into how roles and projects are performing financially against their forecast.
This dashboard is intended for project managers, operations leaders, executives.
The following sections appear in this dashboard:
- Fees Totals
- Fees by Month
- T&M Fees and Fixed Fee Budgets
Fees Totals
The metrics in the Fees Totals section give you insight into your total actual fees on billable projects, as well as any scheduled and allocated fees on tasks. Based on the dates selected in the date filter, you can even see how these numbers have changed over time.
You can also see what your effective rate is based on billable time (actual fees / actual billable hours), which gives you an indication of whether enough billable time is being spent on projects.
Fees by Month
The Fees by Month section shows you the amount of actual fees being entered each month compared to scheduled and allocated fees. Within this section, you can also see a heatmap of the number of fees per each role, making it easier to spot which roles are billing at abnormally high or low rates.
You can select a month on the line chart to see a daily breakdown of fees within that month and you can select a month on the heatmap to see a daily breakdown of fees by role within that month.
T&M Fees and Fixed Fee Budgets
The T&M Fees and Fixed Fee Budgets section shows you all fees and budget information for both fixed fee and time and materials projects—ignoring any applied date filter. You can use the filter selections at the top of the dashboard for a side-by-side view of projects that meet specific criteria, including but not limited to specific project names, projects associated to specific groups or clients, projects with time & materials as the default billing mode, or projects with specific statuses.
