How to Create a New Report
- Open the dashboard and click the Edit button to the upper-right. The dashboard editor opens.
- From the New Item section on the left side of the dashboard editor, select Report and drag it into the canvas. The report editor opens.
- Enter a name for the report at the top of the report editor.
- Select metrics and attributes from the data catalog on the left and add them to the report. See Using the Report Editor article for more information about using the report builder.
- Click Save in the upper-right to save the report. The report editor closes.
- Click Save in the upper-right to save the dashboard.
How to Edit a Report
- Open the dashboard and click the Edit button to the upper-right. The dashboard editor opens.
- On the canvas, select the report.
- In the menu that opens, select Edit. The report editor opens.
- Make your desired changes to the report. See Using the Report Editor for more information about using the report builder.
- Click Save in the upper-right to save the report. The report editor closes.
- Click Save in the upper-right to save the dashboard.

How to Clone a Report
You can clone the standard reports and modify them according to your requirements.
- Open the dashboard and hover over the report, then select the More icon that appears.
- In the menu that appears, select Explore from here. The report editor opens.
- At the top of the report editor, enter a new name for the report.
- In the upper-right, select Save.
- Click Save.
The report editor closes and you are returned to the dashboard. You can now add the cloned report to a custom dashboard.
You can also clone reports from within the report editor, by selecting Save as new in the upper-right of the report editor.
How to Delete a Report
When you delete a report, it will be permanently deleted and removed from all the dashboards it appears in. To remove a report from a dashboard without permanently deleting the report, see How to Remove Reports and KPIs from a Dashboard section in the Using the Dashboard Editor article.
- Open any Insights dashboard.
- To the upper-right of the dashboard, select the Advanced button, then select Open in Advanced Editor.
- You'll receive a confirmation dialog alerting you that the Advanced Editor is for experienced Insights users. To continue, click OK.
- From the app bar at the top, select Analyze. The report editor opens.
- In the upper-right of the report editor, select Open.
- In the menu that appears, locate the report you want to delete. You can see a list of reports created by me or all, as well as search for reports by name.
- Hover over the report, then click the Delete
icon that appears. - In the modal that opens, click Delete.
