NOTE
Members of the Account Administrators Access Group do not have Foreign Exchange access by default. They must be added to a group with Foreign Exchange permissions.
This access group set allows you to control who can create, update, and view an exchange table; it also allows you to control who can create conversions for expenses and cost budgets.
Foreign Exchange
This section lets you control how users interact with currency conversion. By default, none of the boxes are checked. We recommend giving foreign exchange access to members of the organization responsible for creating and updating currency exchanges tables. At a minimum, they'll need permission to Add and update the Foreign Exchange table and Access and view the Foreign Exchange table.
- Convert expenses and cost budgets—If checked, members of this access group can convert both their expenses and cost budgets. Selecting this option essentially includes all current and future currency conversion options.
- Convert cost budgets (if enabled)—If checked, members of this group can convert cost budgets. Contact your Customer Success representative to learn more about enabling the task cost budgets feature.
- Convert expenses—If checked, members of this access group can convert their expenses.
- Add and update the Foreign Exchange Table—If checked, members of this access group can import new or revised exchange rate CSV files. However, members won't be able to view the exchange table unless combined with the option below. Note that this option must be selected to import your first exchange rate table.
- Access and view the Foreign Exchange Table—If checked, members of this access group can view the exchange table. However, members won't be able to change or update the exchange table unless combined with the option above. Note that this option must be selected to import your first exchange rate table.
