How to Schedule a New Email
You can set up a recurring email of classic Insights dashboards or individual reports to your desired recipients.
From the Dashboard
- Select the Schedule (“ ”) icon that appears in the upper-right of the classic dashboard.
- In the modal that appears, select which Dashboard Tabs to send:
- Email all current and future tabs in the dashboard—All tabs, including any tabs added to the dashboard in the future, will be included in the email.
- Email only selected tabs—In the drop-down menu, select the dashboard tabs to include in the email.
- In the Repeats drop-down menu, select how often the email should be sent.
- In the Time drop-down menu, select when the email should be sent.
- Select Add recipients or define custom subject and message to set additional email settings:
- Send a Copy to—Enter a list of comma-separated email addresses.
- Email Subject—Enter a custom email subject.
- Email Message—Enter a custom message to appear in the email body.
- Click Schedule.
From the Advanced Editor
You can set up a recurring email of classic Insights dashboards or individual reports to your desired recipients via the Advanced Editor.
- In the left navigation, hover over Insights, then select a classic dashboard.
- On the right side of the dashboard header, click the Advanced button, then select Open in Advanced Editor.
- You'll receive a confirmation dialog alerting you that the Advanced Editor is for experienced Insights users. To continue, click OK.
- Select the Manage tab in the app bar at the top of the Advanced Editor page.
- Select the Emailing Dashboards tab.
- Click the Schedule New Email button.
- Add the email addresses of those you want to receive this email, and add a Subject. You can also include a message, such as a sentence or two describing the contents of the email. Only members in an classic Insights Access Group can receive scheduled emails.
- Select either Dashboards or Reports, and then check the box next to the dashboards or reports you want to include.
Dashboards are sent as PDFs while Reports can be sent in the following formats:- Inline message
- Excel (XLSX)
- Keep attribute cells merged: Checking this box will merge cells like Project Name so it does not repeat itself.
- Include active filters: Checking this box will keep any filters applied to reports (date range, specific projects, etc) so the reports remain filtered accordingly.
- CSV
- Set a schedule, including frequency, day, and time.
- When finished, click Save.
How to Delete Scheduled Emails
- In the left navigation, hover over Insights, then select a classic dashboard.
- On the right side of the dashboard header, click the Advanced button, then select Open in Advanced Editor.
- You'll receive a confirmation dialog alerting you that the Advanced Editor is for experienced Insights users. To continue, click OK.
- Select the Manage tab in the app bar at the top of the Advanced Editor page.
- Select the Emailing Dashboards tab.
- In the Private Schedules Created on Dashboard section, locate the scheduled email you’d like to delete, then select Delete.
