With Kantata, you can create a project post and respond to a post directly from the email account you use to log in to your Kantata account.
How to Create a Project Post Through Email
- In your email account, open a new email draft.
- Add the project workspace email ID to the recipient field of your email. This email ID can be found on the bottom right of the project’s Activity tab.
WARNING
For security reasons, never share this email address; it is unique to you and your Kantata OX account. If you inadvertently share it, you can generate a new inbound mailer address by being removed from the project and then re-added as a team member.
- Type your message and attach any needed files.
Note: Everything in this email will be posted to the Activity Feed, including signatures, any previous message threads, etc. Be sure to remove all content you don’t want to appear in the feed before sending.
- Click Send. The new post appears in the project’s Activity Feed.
How to Reply to a Project Post Through Email
When you receive an email notification about a new project post, it will include the poster’s name, the name of the project it pertains to, a direct link to the project, and the email address of the project. You can reply to this email to create a comment on the post, which will then display in the project workspace.
- In your email account, click Reply on the notification email.
- Type your reply and attach any needed files.
Note: Everything in this email will be posted to the Activity Feed, including signatures, any previous message threads, etc. Be sure to remove all content you don’t want to appear in the feed before sending. - Click Send. The new comment is added to the original post in the project’s Activity Feed.
