Saved Views Overview

Overview

With Saved Views, you can use different combinations of filters, sorting options, and custom columns to determine how information displays on certain pages, and then save these configurations for future use. This way, you can switch between different views and get the information you need without having to manually re-apply the same filters and columns every time.

After saving one or more views, you can access them from the Views drop-down menu. The view that is currently active always displays at the top of the Your Views section with a checkmark (“ ”) to the left of the view name. All other views display in alphanumeric order.

If you log out of Kantata OX or leave and return to the page, the view that is set as your default will automatically load.

Saved Views are currently available in the following areas:

Note: In most areas, saved views are member specific and cannot be shared with other members; each user must create their own views. However, Shared Views can be created and shared for the Task Tracker and the Resource Center.

How to Save a View

Navigate to the area that you would like to save a view for.
Configure filters, sorting options, and columns according to your preferences.
Click the Views drop-down menu and then select Save View As.
In the Save New View modal, enter a name for the view and click Save. The view appears in the Your Views section of the Views drop-down.

How to Select a View

You can use the Views drop-down to access previously saved views.

Navigate to the area that you would like to view.
Click the Views drop-down menu and select the desired view from the Your Views section of the menu. The page is now filtered according to the selected view.

Note: The view that is currently active always displays at the top of the Your Views section with a checkmark to the left of the view name; all others views are displayed in alphanumeric order.

How to Rename a View

You can change the name of a saved view from the Views drop-down menu.
Navigate to the area that you would like to rename a view for.
Click the Views drop-down menu, and then click the More icon (“ ”) to the right of the view you want to rename and select Rename View.
In the Rename View modal, enter a new View Name.
Click Save to rename the view.

How to Delete a View

You can delete a view from the Views drop-down menu.

Navigate to the area that you would like to delete a view for.
Click the Views drop-down menu and click the More icon (“ ”) to the right of the view you want to delete and select Delete View.
Click OK to delete the view.

Note: If you delete the current view, the page will refresh and the filters return to the account default settings.

How to Update a View

Navigate to the area that you would like to update a view for.
Click the Views drop-down menu and select the view you would like to update.
Configure filters, sorting options, and columns according to your preferences.
A dot appears to the right of the saved view name to indicate that unsaved changes have been made. Click the Views drop-down menu and select Save Changes to Current View. The dot disappears and updates to the view are saved.

How to Set a View as Default

You can select a saved view as the default view to load the first time you access the page.

Navigate to the area that you would like to set a default view for.
Click the Views drop-down menu and click the More icon (“ ”) to the right of the view name and select Set as Default. The view will now automatically load whenever you open the page.
