Overview
When an Account Administrator enables Resource Recommendations, you can make informed staffing decisions in the Resource Center or a project's Resourcing tab based on resource availability, role match, skills needed, and other criteria.
How to Enable Resource Recommendations
- In the left navigation, hover over Settings, then select Resource Management.
- Choose Edit for Resource Recommendations.
- Toggle Enable Resource Recommendations to On, and then click Save.
Note: Before users can use Resource Recommendations, you must enable it for their Access Group as well. For information on the View Resource Recommendations setting, see Access Group Set: Resource Management.
How to Adjust Resource Recommendation Settings
- In the left navigation, hover over Settings, then select Resource Management.
- To set how important different aspects—such as role, availability, or other specific information—are for recommending resources, select Edit next to Criteria Weighting and Match Requirements to set them at the account level. These can also be adjusted on a project-by-project basis from within Team Builder.
- To determine what criteria must match for a resource to be recommended, select Edit next to Match Requirements to set them at the account level. These can also be adjusted on a project-by-project basis from within Team Builder.
- If you want to see more than 3 recommendations, select Edit for Number of Recommendations to Display, and select a number between 1 and 15.
- If you want to change how the availability percentage is calculated for resources, select Edit for Availability Calculation Method, then select the hours you would like availability to be based on:
- Scheduled Hours
- Allocated Hours
- Allocated Hours (Hard Only)
