Requirements
Before you can create scenarios, you must create your mappings first.
Note: You do not have to fully fill out or complete your mappings before creating a scenario.
Creating Scenarios
- Log in to M-Bridge.
- Navigate to NetSuite > Settings.
- Select the Add Scenario button. The Create a new Scenario page displays.
- Select the Type of Scenario you want to create from the drop-down list.
- After selecting the Scenario Type, the following information sections and their fields for the scenario appear:
- Name — Name your scenario. Mavenlink recommends a name that is memorable and related directly to the mapping you create.
- Schedule — The schedule for a scenario controls its automatic sync frequency. Scenarios can be synced manually even when a scenario is set. This does not affect the set schedule.
- (Configuration) Options — Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). The list is typable and will filter based on what you type.
- Required Mappings — In this section, you can choose which table from each Mapping Set this scenario will use. You can view the relevant scenarios and their mapping tables within the NetSuite: Create Mappings article.
- Additional Fields — In this section, you can add additional field pairs to the scenario.
Tip: If your desired scenario is not available in the list please contact your CSM. Your Technical Consultant can guide you through this step.
- Enter the desired information into the fields, and select Save Scenario.
The scenario is created and appears on the NetSuite Scenarios page.
Editing Scenario Mappings
- Log in to M-Bridge.
- Navigate to NetSuite > Settings. The NetSuite Scenarios page appears.
- Find the row of the Scenario you would like to edit.
- On the right end of the row, click the drop-down arrow next to the Sync button and select Edit. The Edit Scenario page appears.
- Scroll down to the Required Mappings section, and choose the updated mappings related to the desired NetSuite environment.
- Click Save Scenario. The information for this scenario updates.
Managing Scenarios
- Log in to M-Bridge.
- Navigate to NetSuite > Settings. The NetSuite Scenarios page appears.
- Find the row of the Scenario you would like to manage.
- On the right end of the row, click the drop-down arrow next to the Sync button. The following is a list of scenario actions and their descriptions that you can complete specific to that scenario:
- Sync — Provides an immediate, one-time sync of the scenario.
- Disable — Stops any active events and prevents the syncing of any data via the scenario. The Scenario Status will change from Active to Disabled to reflect this action.
- Edit — Takes you to the Edit Scenario page where you can adjust mappings and configuration details.
- Clear Memory — Removes potential events or data that would be picked up between the last run and the next sync of the scenario.
- Remove — Deletes and removes the scenario. This action can't be undone.
