Overview
Get your work done faster and enhance team communication with Kantata OX's Boards. This feature offers various lane options, commenting capabilities, and the ability to separate project tasks from individual To Do items, enabling your team to visualize and prioritize tasks more effectively and ensure every project is completed on time, every time.
There are two Boards available in the project workspace:
- Tasks Board—This board displays an alternative view of all the project tasks from the Task Tracker. Any changes that are made on the Tasks Board display in the Task Tracker and vice versa.
- To Do Board—This board displays To Dos, which are project items that can be completed independent of project tasks and the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
When To Dos are enabled, you can quickly toggle back and forth between the Tasks Board and To Do Board in the project workspace.
All team members with Edit To Dos access—granted via the Project Permissions page—can view, create, and edit To Dos for the project.
The Tasks and To Do Boards are designed so their corresponding cards can either exist independently of each other or be connected depending on what the project’s criteria requires.
For example, Jennifer is assigned to the project task Kickoff Meeting. She knows that there are a number of smaller, related items that also need to be completed for this task, but doesn’t want to create extra subtasks and clutter up the project’s work breakdown structure. Instead, she decides to create a To Do for each of the smaller items (e.g. Send Updated Agenda) and then associate them with Kickoff Meeting via the To Do card's Associated Task field. Now these associated To Dos will appear in the Task Tracker and the Tasks Board and her team will see that they’re connected to the Kickoff Meeting task when they view the To Do Board.
In the alternative scenario below, Owen created a To Do card as a reminder to fix some typos in presentation files a team member put together. Owen decides that this is a smaller item that doesn’t need to be associated to an existing task, so he keeps it as a separate To Do item by leaving the Associated Task field blank.
